Social media brings teachers and students closer

As time changes trends also change the classroom learning shifting to E-learning teachers replaced by online tutors and so on. . There is a drastic change but the schools adopt the traditional form of teaching but with a slight change facilitating the students to communicate though social media portals for clarifying their doubts, back then the students would clarify their doubts and get solutions when they met the teacher in person at school the process was more time consuming and formal, but now the students are connected with their teachers through various social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp.

The schools have adopted E-Learning portals for their student have been constantly updating the child and the parents about the assignments, projects, attendance, exam dates and much more.

The facility is very useful but it is also leads to the children misusing it sometimes, as they access the internet they are exposed to various advertisements and sometimes go to wrong page. While communicating with teachers through social media students get more of person information about the teacher which can be a bad sign and also

mislead the conversation with the teacher and be biased. The portal may lack the ethnicity and can lead to an informal conversation.

“As a teacher I feel this mode of communication is very healthy as the students can get to clarify their doubts instantly, this also helps me to understand the student’s problem as individual attention is given and students must also be instructed to message at a specific time so that confusion can be avoided.” Says Sindhu , Teacher at Asan Memorial School.

School Teachers and students have their own call and interpretation of using this type of medium of communication as it is varies from one person to another, so it’s the way how every individual uses it.
