This is my Groundhog Day.

9am. Wake up to the alarm (yes, we are all on this late schedule, toddler and doggy included). Feel positive! It’s a new day! (Who cares that I was up all night with anxiety, again? It’s a new day!)

Morning goals: Stay healthy, don’t panic — eat well, exercise, do not panic. It’s a new day! But first, coffee.

Pancakes for breakfast, why not? Try and get toddler to focus on the computer screen for class circle time. Sip coffee. First temper tantrum not even 15 minutes out of bed. End the tantrum, finish coffee. Still feeling positive! I used to be a Mama. Now I need to be a Mama, Teacher, and Best Friend. I got this!

10am. Family walk outside with doggy. Thank god for the mutt; a valid excuse to get air and no dirty looks.

11am. Virtual exercise! If I can’t make my live class, three 7-minute YouTubes beats one 20-minute workout. Also, my toddler’s squats are amazing.

Coffee number two, and cookie break. Why does my husband bake so many and never eat them? Do not panic.

Post workout means it’s anything goes at this point. Start to lose track of the day. Arts and crafts, music, game time? Anything but Frozen 2.

Lunch. Another dog walk. Comfort super sad toddler. Call family. Call friends.

3pm! Toddler napping. Quick, be creative. Write! No wait, clean! Nope, just check socials. Avoid panic.

4:30pm. Next toddler activity. Really, I mean, Frozen 2. Again.

4:55pm. How did it get so late? 5 minutes to wine time! Another happy hour FaceTime! What’s for dinner? Cookies?!

8pm. Eat. Drink. Play. Read. Bath time. Last dog walk. How am I so busy, and honestly, doing nothing?

10pm. Why is toddler still awake? Eat more. Drink more. But for heaven’s sake, Do. Not. Read. The. News. Damn it, I did it. Panic. Sheer panic!

Quick! Switch to Netflix and Cheer. Much better. Oh no, they dropped her! Oops. I hope she’s ok. She has to go the hospital. Panic.

11pm. Flip through TV options. Find nothing. Have a nightcap. Drink some water. Go to bed. Do. Not. Panic. Tomorrow will be a brand new day.

Midnight — 9am. Panic.
