Why Americans are over Covid

Since March of 2020 much of the world has been in utter disarray. Covid-19 has wreaked havoc on humanity. Hours seem like days, days feel like weeks, and many lose track of what day it is altogether.

America is over Covid because the sacrifices we have had to make and the life altering effects that they have had, never should have happened in the first place. Our country suffered because China let it leave their country before they decided to lock down .

We are done with Covid because going to school means getting on the bus with your friends or walking with the neighborhood children to your local elementary school building, not crawling out of bed to go find your Chromebook.

We are over dealing with video doctor’s visits or even worse phone call doctors visits. How in the sam hell are you going to diagnose me when you can’t see, hear, touch, or even in some odd cases smell me? You can’t. You won’t. You’ll just be guessing.

One thing we have been “blessed with” is the ability to continue getting take out when dining in isn’t allowed. Takeout however creates tons and tons of waste each year when not in a pandemic — now it’s so much worse and we don’t want to destroy the planet anymore. We are trying to heal our planet. We need to be able to go to a restaurant and not have to wait an hour (not because it’s busy but because there are only half the tables there used to be.)

As a country we are done with change shortages, product supply chain interruptions, needing a map to trace the proper route through the aisles of the grocery store, and all the other insane things we have to do because the CDC says so.

The biggest and saddest hurdle our nation has had to face is family seperation. Families aren’t seeing one another for fear of infection or repercussions at their place of employment for traveling out of their town or state. Even those who have lost their jobs because of this mess and dont have to answer to an employer are forced to choose between possibly never seeing a loved one again (old age,illness,etc)or visiting them and possibly giving them covid because they wanted to see their mom or grandmother. No one should ever have to make this kind of decision and families have lost members and not been able to have funerals or have someone there with someone who was about to pass away.
