Precision Medicine Cohort Study in Community Health Center in Connecticut

Public health scientists are searching for nearly one million volunteers to take part in a massive 10-year research project looking into causes and cures of disease. The goal is to use the information to customize treatment at a very granular, detailed level for each patient.

Researchers are looking active participants, not just patients to study.

Volunteers part of the precision medicine initiative will be able to access and see all the information discovered about themselves, such as lab and genetic test results. Doctors can then use the information to customize treatment at a very granular, detailed level for each patient. Unusually, volunteers can help drive the research by sitting on steering committee and advisory boards.
