The Grind Will Never End

I just finished my web development intensive program and now it is time to find a job. After 6 months of signing away my social life and on a continuous grind to absorb as much software development as possible, I realize that the journey is far from over. I have now started to apply to positions at various companies and the realization of what is to come gets clearer and clearer everyday. The bootcamp was merely a step to just get ready to take that first step through the door to the tech industry. Finding a job, acing the technical interview, and ultimately landing a position will be the most difficult part of the whole process. Firehose Project is over, I have graduated and now they have let go of my hands. It is all on me now to do katas everyday, recreate and rewrite the difficult algorithm challenges on paper this time to train for a possible whiteboard challenge, and to commit to blogging everyday. Blogging will be the one thing that will propel my career forward and I know that it will also help me to spew out my thoughts and feelings about my career, perhaps even steering me in the direction I need to go by thorough self-analysis. Everything is falling into place as I have planned and I know this year will be a complete opposite of 2 years prior. The grind only doubles from here. Time to put my head down and get to work.
